Prioritizing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Behavioral Health

Date:
Wednesday, August 25, 2021
Time:
2 PM ET
Duration:
1 hour

Behavioral health organizations have a growing responsibility to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts not only for their employees, but also to better serve clients and families. By working to bolster DEI efforts, organizations have a unique opportunity to improve the lives of those providing and receiving care.

Given that this is such an important responsibility, where do organizations begin? In our upcoming webinar, we'll discuss how behavioral health organizations can foster DEI and improve cultural competence.

Join us Wednesday, August 25 at 2 PM ET to hear Rola Aamar, Ph.D., and Nellie Galindo from Relias discuss the impact DEI has on client health outcomes and how organizations can prioritize cultural competency. During the webinar you’ll learn:

  • The importance of DEI in healthcare and human services
  • The role of social determinants of health and the variance in healthcare delivery practices based on race and ethnicity
  • What cultural competence truly means
  • Why focusing on DEI is equally as important to staff wellness as it is to client health

Do you have questions about how your organization can embrace DEI efforts and improve cultural awareness among your staff? Provide your questions during registration for us to answer during the webinar.
