According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, women make up around 75% of the healthcare workforce. Despite this, fewer than 20% of women hold key leadership roles—only 19% of hospitals and 4% of healthcare companies are led by women.

Katie Bell

For over 25 years, Ms. Bell has served as a consultant to leading healthcare organizations. Prior to serving as a global healthcare account lead, she has served in key management and thought leadership roles. Ms. Bell held several leadership positions at the Advisory Board Company and The Gallup Organization where she worked closely with the executive team to design health research analytics, health industry products, and key global marketing strategies to drive client business growth. She holds extensive human capital management consulting experience with a focus on organizational development, talent management, and workforce wellness and co-founded a groundbreaking health initiative and led a 200-person global team. The 25-year transformational endeavor created a database of population health and well-being data that continues to provide government, business, and healthcare leaders with a consistent metric to measure the health, wellness, and prevention needs of U.S. and global populations. Ms. Bell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has completed Executive Education coursework at Harvard University in Cambridge. She is an advisory board member for WBL (Women Business Leaders in the Healthcare Industry) and the University of Nebraska College of Business. She is a published author and frequent guest speaker.

Arti Masturzo, MD

Arti is a healthcare transformation executive with nearly 20 years in medical leadership. In addition to running her own business, which was successfully sold to private equity, her experience in CMO, clinical innovation, and P&L roles has provided her with a deep knowledge of diverse healthcare operations, services, and products in multiple sites of care. Arti has a deep passion for building collaborative teams that help improve patients’ lives by innovating care delivery models and fostering technology-enabled products and services. Currently, she is VP of Clinical Innovation at Humana leading the transformation in home care from fee for service to value based care through creation of new clinical and business models.

Lora Sparkman, MHA, RN, BSN

Lora provides consulting, thought leadership, and strategic guidance on the use and optimization of Relias clinical solutions related to improving patient safety and creating high reliability in some of the highest risk areas in healthcare: Obstetrics and Emergency Department as well as other clinical areas with the acute care setting. Prior to Relias, Lora worked for Ascension as a Director of Clinical Excellence. In her role, she had the opportunity to work with clinical leaders and innovators from across the country in improving the delivery of care, demonstrating results in patient outcomes, and reducing the cost of risk.

Candace serves as the Chief Customer Officer where she leads the entire Client Care organization at Relias. This includes customer excellence, Client Success, Support, and Professional Services. These key teams and initiatives provide technical, clinical, and educational support and guidance for more than 11,000 organizations with 4.5 million individuals across the healthcare industry. She previously served as the Senior Vice President of the Solutions Group, a team comprised of industry and technology experts responsible for delivering professional services, such as clinical consultation and population health management. Having joined Relias in 2013 and leading several strategic teams, Candace has a true passion for Relias’ customers and enjoys using complex data to provide effective solutions. Prior to joining Relias, she worked as an archaeologist in the environmental compliance industry and holds a bachelor’s degree in Archaeology and Religion from Baylor University. In her free time, Candace enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her son and bulldog, Lucy.
