Professional Development Plans for DSPs and Other Staff in IDD Organizations
In 2017, ANCOR and Relias partnered together to create the Certificates of Achievement (COA)—three professional development tracks created specifically for DSPs and IDD staff.
This year, we’re excited to share that we’ve updated the Certificate of Achievement program to include seven new development tracks, each focusing on strategic areas identified to be most impactful for improving organizational and employee wellness, well-being, and development. With 10 total certificates available, you can provide development programs and initiatives to help improve staff satisfaction, engagement, and ultimately, retention.

Gabrielle Sedor joined ANCOR as its Chief Operations Officer in February 2015 to assist the CEO in day-to-day operations and supervise ANCOR’s Communications, Marketing, Membership, and Education teams. She was named the ANCOR Foundation Director in October 2018. Prior to coming to ANCOR, she was the Communications Director at PAR, a Pennsylvania state provider association and ANCOR member, where she directed PAR's lobbying, marketing, and communications activities.
Arlene has nearly 20 years of experience in many areas of IDD service provision, including clinical coordination, oversight, and administration. She has experience in managing contracts and billable services with MCOs and other payers, overseeing quality improvement processes, and working with CQL accreditation requirements. Arlene also served on the board of the NC Provider Association.
John Jay is the Strategic Product Marketing Manager for Health and Human Services at Relias. He has spent the last six years working at Relias in both Product Management and Product Marketing. During his time in Product Management, John oversaw Relias’ product vision in the Behavioral Health, Community Health, and Acute healthcare space. After spending five years in his various product manager roles, John switched focus to lead the Health and Human Services marketing strategy, focusing on aligning Relias’ solutions to key industry challenges.
